Privacy Policy
Last updated: 27 July 2026
This page is maintained by the operator of DeliverProof and describes how the app handles data. It is not an independent audit or certification. Placeholders in square brackets must be replaced with your business details before publishing.
1. Who we are
DeliverProof ("we", "the app") is operated by [Your registered business name], [Your address], India. For any privacy question, write to privacy@[yourdomain].com.
2. Information we collect
- Shopkeeper account data — name, shop name, email address and/or mobile number, password (stored only as a secure hash by our authentication provider), and your shop's WhatsApp number.
- Delivery staff data — name and mobile number, added by the shopkeeper who invites them.
- Order data entered by the shopkeeper or delivery staff — customer name, customer WhatsApp number, delivery address, item description, order amount, payment status and payment mode.
- Delivery proof photos — the dispatch photo and delivery photo captured in the app, with their timestamps.
- Billing records — message pack purchases, amounts and payment reference IDs returned by our payment gateway. We never see or store your full card, UPI PIN or bank credentials.
- Technical data — basic logs needed to run and secure the service, such as error reports.
3. Customer data is entered by shopkeepers
If you are a customer of a shop that uses DeliverProof, the shop entered your name, WhatsApp number and address so it could dispatch and prove your delivery. The shop is responsible for that data; we process it on the shop's behalf. To have your details corrected or removed, contact the shop directly, or write to us and we will pass the request on.
4. How we use the information
- To create and run shop, staff and order records inside the app.
- To send WhatsApp dispatch and delivery notifications to the customer number on the order.
- To generate the private order tracking page that shows the delivery timeline and photos.
- To process message-pack purchases and maintain message credit balances.
- To provide support, prevent abuse, and fix errors.
We do not sell personal data and we do not use order data for advertising.
5. Service providers we share data with
- Cloud backend & storage provider — hosts the database, authentication and photo storage.
- WhatsApp messaging provider — receives the customer's phone number and message content in order to deliver the notification.
- Payment gateway — processes pack purchases; card and UPI details go directly to the gateway, not to us.
These providers act on our instructions and are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes. We may also disclose data where required by Indian law or a valid legal order.
6. Security
Accounts are protected by password authentication. Order records are separated per shop through database-level access rules, so one shop cannot read another shop's orders. Delivery photos are held in a private storage bucket and are served only through expiring signed links. Data is encrypted in transit over HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure — please report any suspected issue to security@[yourdomain].com.
7. How long we keep data
- Delivery and dispatch photos: automatically deleted after 90 days. Tracking pages then show a "photo expired" note.
- Order records: retained while your account is active, so you can search history and export CSV.
- Billing records: retained as long as required for tax and accounting purposes.
- Account data: deleted on request, subject to the retention needs above.
8. Your choices and rights
- Access or correct your account details from within the app.
- Export your order history as a CSV file at any time.
- Request deletion of your account and its data by writing to privacy@[yourdomain].com.
- Stop WhatsApp notifications by asking the shop to remove your number from the order, or by replying to the message as instructed by WhatsApp.
9. Children
DeliverProof is a business tool and is not intended for anyone under 18.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app changes. The "last updated" date at the top will always reflect the current version, and material changes will be announced in the app.
